The Horice town is often called a stone beauty town or the Czech Athens. There is no other town decorated with so many beautiful sculptures which can be seen in the streets, on the square but most them are on the Gothard hill. The school decoration is very interesting. The wall is decorated with sculptures from 8 authors which were made in the school atelier according to a professor Moric Cernil project. There are the brass sculpture of Dead Abel and the sandstone sculpture of Awakening on the lawn in front of the school. The authors Quido Kocian and Jan Stursa were students here.
This restful place can be found in the middle of Horice town. In 1903 the statue of famous Czech composer Bedrich Smetana was revealed there.
